Tynemouth Sunset, February 2015

During the week I went with my friends to Tynemouth to catch the sunset. I am very happy we decided to do this because it was very beautiful. We walked to the monument so we could get the full view of the sunset.

I also took this opportunity to get some pictures with my friend's film camera, Carol, who sadly doesn't work at the moment... Carol is very pretty and I thought she looked good with the sunset.

We then decided to walk down to the sea front and, since the tide was out, we also climbed down on to the rocks below.

The rocks were very slippy so I advise, if you are planning to go down there, to be careful!

Once we came back up, the sky had turned a great orange colour so of course we took the chance to get some more photos.

Thanks for reading, I highly recommend taking the chance to go to Tynemouth, or somewhere similar, to get a good view of the sunset as it is truly amazing. Please also check out my friends' blogs:

St Nicholas Cathderal and Tynemouth Beach, February 2015

St Nicholas is the Cathedral for the Church of England Diocese of Newcastle, and has been around for over 900 years. The inside holds many great architectural features and the outside is just as beautiful.

The detail on the some things inside the Cathedral was amazing,

The aisle led up to the alter and also lead to another part behind where the choir would sit.

I also decided to focus on the pretty flowers and the glowing candles. The Church was quite dark with dramatic light from the windows which meant the flowers stood out more when I used flash instead of the natural light.

After the Cathedral, we went to King Edwards Bay and Tynemouth beach.

We also walked along to the old outdoor swimming pool at the edge of Tynemouth beach which had a very nice view of the beach and the costal town above.

The beach is a really nice place to walk along, take pictures and think.

France, August 2014 - Part 2

During our stay in Beaulieu, we visited a small village further south called Autoire. It was a very small, but beautiful, French village home to an interesting ensemble of buildings and a 30 metre high cascade which was quite impressive.

While we were here I took one of my favourite photos ever of this amazingly coloured dragonfly.

There were also some very nice shops in the centre which were nice to look in and to look at. They were also surrounded by many beautiful flowers which really caught my eye.

I decided to focus on the flowers for a while because I thought they were way too beautiful to ignore. Also, hanging from most buildings, were grape vines which I thought was very unusual but I guess France is very different to England!

The walk to the cascade wasn't that long, maybe 15-20 minutes, but there was a very cute house on the way which I couldn't resist taking a photo of.

When we reached the bottom of the cascade we realised there was some more walking to do to get to the actual thing. We crossed some stones and carried ourselves up to it. It was very beautiful and definitely worth the walk, we didn't stay long but I think I managed to capture the grace of it.

Once we left Autoire we travelled west to a neighbouring village called Carrenac. Carrenac is also a very beautiful French village home to a great church and a castle running along side it.

The main window in the church was amazing and the stain glass detailing was super, it really brought the church to life and is definitely the best stained-glass window I have ever seen.

The streets of Carrenac were quite quiet and we didn't say as long because it was quite late in the afternoon. However, the buildings looked very medieval and overall the place was very relaxing.

Thanks for reading! The next part will be posted soon:)
Any comments would be much appreciated and please leave any helpful advice.
